A 500-pound inmate in Texas has been slapped with an additional charge after authorities learned he hid a 9mm
pistol in the rolls of his skin.
Ew! Ew! Ew!
George Vera was originally sentenced for selling illegal
copies of CDs but managed to end up being booked for possession of a firearm
after he told a guard at Harris County Jail about the unloaded gun he hid within
the crevices of his own body.
Vera admitted to having the gun during a shower break at the county jail!
Just what we needed, a naked visual!

Meet Molly Ringwald's Twins!
Molly Ringwald isn't logging much sleep these days – and she couldn't be more
delighted about it.
"You get up with one of the babies and feed and
change that one and get the baby back to sleep, and the other wakes up, and then
you feed and change that one," the star of '80s classics Pretty in Pink
and Sixteen Candles says of her nocturnal routine since the July 10 arrival of her twin son and daughter, Roman Stylianos and
Adele Georgiana.
"It is exhausting, but it's wonderful," the actress,
41, tells PEOPLE in its new issue.
The twins join big sister Mathilda, 5
½, and dad Panio Gianopoulos, 34, whom Ringwald married in 2007. "After Mathilda
was born, I had some things fixed" – surgery to remove fibroids – "that made it
easier to get pregnant again," says Ringwald.
Ringwald,
whose pregnancy was written into her ABC Family series The Secret Life of
the American Teenager, calls the twins' birth "extraordinary. The doctor
grabbed [Roman] by the foot and pulled him out. Adele had hogged a lot of the
oxygen in the blood so right away Roman needed a little more attention. But both
babies cried almost immediately."
Cameron and Chase get back in the 'House'
It’s the news Cameron and Chase fans have longed to hear:
After two years spent mostly on the sidelines, Jennifer Morrison and Jesse Spencer will be back in the trenches on “House” this season.
“They are both thrown back into their old jobs,” Morrison
told us at the Teen Choice Awards. “It’s been great, actually. I have been working a lot and
there are things that happen to House very early in the season that have a
domino effect on all of the other characters.”
Those “things” involve a shake-up at Princeton Plainsboro that finds Foreman filling in for an ailing
House as the hospital’s top doc. The transition is rocky to say the least.
“Cameron was always very close and protective of House,”
she says. “And to have her mentor be away in an asylum makes her contemplate
life and career and him. Having him gone affects everyone he works with,
personally and professionally.”
Further complicating matters will be Cameron and Chase’s
status as newlyweds.
“This season starts a few months from where we left off
last season in the finale and Chase and Cameron are finding their groove as a
married couple,” reveals Morrison, who hints at some friction now that they’re
working alongside each other again. “That might put some strain on the marriage.
“They’re taking things up a notch [this season],”
Morrison continues. “I think the audience will be able to enjoy seeing new
things from all of us.”
Kutcher tweets about emergency landing
Friday 08-07-2009 9:24am ET
‘Engine over heated. Fire trucks everywhere. Good times,’ he
wrote
Ashton Kutcher’s private plane had an emergency landing
in Las Vegason Thursday, the star tweeted.
“My plane just had to do an emergency landing,” he wrote.
“Engine over heated. Fire trucks everywhere. Good times.”
Las Vegas McCarran International Airport spokesman Chris Jones confirmed the landing to Access Hollywood, explaining that
the aircraft reported engine trouble a few minutes into the flight after taking
off shortly before 1 p.m. The pilots were then cleared for an emergency landing,
which they made about 6 minutes later.
Kutcher’s wife, Demi Moore, also tweeted about the dangerous landing and posted two
twitpics from the scene.
“Yep it is always an adventure in Vegas emergency landing
all!” she wrote.
Later, Kutcher tweeted that he was “happy to be alive”
and offered fans a way to celebrate with him and promote his new movie,
“Spread.”
“Party tonight at Turtle Bay Bar in #NYC,” he wrote. “Say
‘Spread’ at the door for ½ off drinks! On me!”
Screech Dishes Bayside Dirt!!!
What a skeez!!
Ten years after leaving Saved by the Bell, Dustin
Diamond is releasing a tell-all memoir about the experience.
The book promises "sexual escapades among cast members, drug use, and
hardcore partying!"
We find that hard to believe!!!
Not only did his former publisher, Gotham, drop him, but the cast claims that he's full of shiz!
"This book is freaking incredible!" said Diamond's literary agent, Jarred
Weisfeld. "Everyone that reads it loves it, and [it] is truly one of my
favorites of all time."
What lit agent tells the media that the material is "freaking
incredible?"
Douche representing douche!!!
Harvard University Launches Fashion Line, Confuses Everyone
Now this is a first. Harvard (yes, that Harvard) is launching a contemporary
menswear line called Harvard Yard.
The university just signed a ten-year licensing deal with Wearwolf Group, a
major clothing manufacturer.
The clothes won't say "Harvard University" on them or don the schools colors
except in the fine details (think crimson buttonholes) as they aren't geared
toward their own students, but a larger contemporary male demographic.
The line, which will range in price from $165 for pants to $495 for sport
coats, was inspired by photos of students lounging in Harvard Yard in the '60s.
John Fowler, creative director for the line, says "it's a style that has
become current again and not just with the American consumer. We think Harvard
Yard will have global appeal."
This is all fine and well, but there is one lingering question… why???
Jon & Kate Plus Dates New Episode Aired Monday
Tuesday 08-04-2009 10:30am ET
Reality TV mom Kate Gosselin says she feels
a sense of peace after making the decision to separate from her husband, Jon.
So
should fans of "Jon & Kate Plus 8," who may have fretted that this family
oriented reality show would be jeopardized by the co-stars' estrangement. For
better or worse, the TLC series is as warm and fuzzy as ever, if two new
episodes that aired Monday are any indication.
The episodes marked the end of a hiatus that began in
June, when the Gosselins revealed to a huge audience of 10.6 million viewers
their decision to split. The TLC network said then the couple needed time to
"regroup," an odd word choice for partners in a broken marriage.
But having regrouped, the show is now focusing, as
before, on everyday family activities with the couple's eight kids (5-year-old
sextuplets and 8-year-old twins) — even if their mom and dad are "separately parenting (another TLC term).
With a kitchen renovation project under way at the
Gosselins' Pennsylvania compound, Kate fled the chaos with the kids for a beach
in North Carolina. Jon stayed home to oversee the construction.
"It's kinda strange," Jon said. "We're remodeling our
kitchen in the middle of our separation."
He
added, "The decision to have the kids at the beach and me at home gave us a
break to think about what we need to do as parents for our kids."
Then, when Kate and the youngsters returned home, Jon had
taken his leave.
"This was my first official turn with the kids," Kate
said. "It didn't feel very much different. It just felt more like the future."
Kate supervised a camp-out for the kids in the yard.
"This is a very, very difficult time right now," she told
the camera from her interview chair, a change from the couch she and Jon had
shared on the series in the past. "But my main goal is to make this transition
as easy and painless ... for the kids as possible."
As
co-stars of TLC's biggest hit, Jon and Kate also have been magnets for the
tabloid press since their marriage began to crumble.
But "Jon & Kate" fans (and TLC) needn't worry about
scandalmongering from the outside world. The show still tells its own
squeaky-clean story. The show's opening still has Jon declaring, "It might be a
crazy life," and Kate chiming in, "But it's our life."
On
"Jon & Kate," it's almost as if nothing in life had changed.
Dueling Covers! Michael Vs. Farrah
Both Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett
will be featured on the cover of the September issue of Vanity
Fair, with Fawcett gracing half of the covers and Jackson featured on the
remaining 50%.
The issue will be hitting newsstands on August 11th, but excerpts from both
features have been released to the press. The articles touch on key themes from
the two late superstars' lives, pieced together through quotations from friends
and old sound bites from the celebs themselves.
Check out what Farrah's friends and family had to say about the late
Charlie's Angels star:
Love About her relationship with longtime companion
Ryan O'Neal: "She's always been the real love of his life and
he's always been the real love of her life. She never stopped loving him." — BFF
Alana Stewart
Fame About that 1970s' hair: "She said, 'I can't see to
the right or left, and that way I don't have to see people looking at me.' " —
O'Neal recounting Fawcett's response when he asked
Career "Careers have to be very carefully plotted, but
she was not driven by that singular focus on the next step and the next step." —
Leonard Goldberg, who co-produced Charlie's Angels,
which Fawcett left after one season
Odd behavior On her appearance with David
Letterman in which she sounded incoherent: "I was the pothead; she's
one of those people who flossed every night and took care of herself. When I saw
her on Letterman, I thought she was acting. She was selling Playboy
magazine, and she thought she was being Playmate-ish." — O'Neal
Family On O'Neal's "devotion" to Fawcett: "My dad's only
goal was to make sure he would be in the will. It was so disgustingly
transparent as soon as she found out she was terminal. I consider him a vulture
presiding over a carcass." — Griffin O'Neal
"I hate him! He knows I have money. I made a tremendous amount of money on
real estate, more than I deserve." — Ryan O'Neal's response
And as far as the article about Michael Jackson, it mimics the same content
as Farrah's:
Love "No I don't date, no. I like girls and everything,
but [laughs] … Oh, you think I'm one of those? No! I'm just not that interested
right now." — Jackson in February 1977
Fame "And a lot of entertainers don't know this, but
interviewers help entertainers 100%. I don't mean promotion-wise; I mean like
when they ask you questions, it helps you to look at your future yourself." —
Jackson in February 1977
Career On the first mix of the Thriller album:
"It was terrible. And I cried at the listening party. I said, 'I'm sorry — we
can't release this.' … Everybody at the record company was screaming that we had
to have it out and there was a deadline. … So we re-did a mix a day. … We were
overworked, but it all came out OK." — Jackson in 1984
Odd behavior On his plastic surgeries: "You know, many
stars do that, but the press picks on certain people. I think if more people
could afford it, they'd do it, too. I see nothing wrong with it. You have to
feel good about yourself." — Sister Janet Jackson in October
1986
Family On conflicts with family: "I've always tried to do
everything first-class. Use people who are the best. But it was a different
story with the family. And the fact that it was the biggest tour that ever
happened, and my success had been so overwhelming, it's as if they're wanting to
throw darts at you, too." — Michael Jackson in 1984 after the Jacksons' Victory
Tour
